THE YETZ STORY

Every time Daniel “Yetz” Dunietz visited family on the East Coast, he would stuff his suitcase with fresh bagels and bring them back to Santa Barbara to keep his cravings under control for a week or two. Finally, he said, “Enough is enough”, and went to work perfecting a recipe that drew upon centuries of tradition and history. Yetz’s Bagels is the result.

When his neighbor closed shop, Yetz was approached by his landlord and asked whether he wanted to expand his operation and take over the neighboring space. Hesitant at first, when he began thinking about what was missing from the Isla Vista food scene, he realized that there was nowhere he could find a craveable sandwich, fresh salad or healthy smoothie. Yetz’s Deli is our effort to fill those needs!
